The Medication Wizard will help you determine which quit medication might be best for you based on your current preferences and medical conditions.

There are seven FDA approved quit medications, all of which have demonstrated effectiveness through years of study. Three are available without a prescription: nicotine patch, nicotine gum and nicotine lozenge.

The others are available only with a prescription: varenicline (Chantix®/Champix®), bupropion (Zyban®/Wellbutrin®), the nicotine inhaler and nicotine nasal spray.

If you have used a product in the past and had been successful in quitting for at least 10 days, you might want to consider that product again. If you have had an allergic reaction to any of the quit medications, do not try it again.

Warning: None of these quit-medications should be used by people under the age of 18 without the direct supervision of a physician; they have not been approved by the FDA for pediatric use.

Take it one day at a time. You can do it. Remember the cravings only last a few minutes. Take a walk, drink water, think of beautiful things. It works!
